East Selkirk will be offering a hockey breakfast program for all Lord Selkirk hockey players born in 2012, 2011 and 2010. The program will consist of a morning skate from 7-8 am followed by a nutritious breakfast before heading off to school.
Adam McConnell along with other certified coaches and Lord Selkirk hockey players will be planning and implementing the program using Hockey Canada guidelines. Players will develop skating technique, puck control, passing/shooting and participate in small-sided games. Players will participate in eight skates - January 10 th , 17 th , 24 th , and 29 th and February 5 th , 14 th , 21 st and 26 th . All ice slots are based out of the East Selkirk Arena.
Players will be charged $80 (cash only) to cover ice costs, food purchased and appreciation gifts for volunteers. The program will consist of a maximum of twenty-four skaters.
